How We Select Projects for the Project Showcase

Over the past few months, we have reviewed more than 50 projects. Most of them did not pass the selection process — in many cases, the decision was made during the first two stages of verification.

Our priority is given to projects with revenue, a strong team, and a prototype or an already operational product. An additional advantage is equity participation by venture capital funds or business angels that have previously conducted their own due diligence on the project and invested in it.

Each project goes through four consecutive stages of verification.

First, we examine the ownership structure, identify the ultimate beneficial owners, and determine the role of each company within the corporate structure. We then rebuild the financial model and assess the project economics: revenue sources, sales channels, and the investor’s potential returns, taking into account taxes, fees, and currency conversion.

At the third stage, we assess the project’s readiness for implementation and the associated legal risks: the team’s experience, the current stage of the product, applicable law, collateral, sanctions restrictions, and taxation.

After that, we compare the project’s risk level with its potential returns and the alternatives available on the market.

Projects that successfully pass all stages of verification are formalized in an investment memorandum and submitted to the investment committee. Following the review, the investment amount, the procedure for financing in tranches, and the conditions the project must meet in order to receive funds are determined.

Our work with the project does not end after it is placed on the project showcase. We compare actual performance against the financial model, monitor the targeted use of the funds raised, and track compliance with the conditions established to protect investors’ interests.
